With the just announced acquisition of Corning's subsidiary Corning Laser Technologies, our portfolio company 4JET is strengthening its already leading position in fast and precise glass cutting, drilling and texturing. 4JET becomes the new gorilla in the room!
Being able to process glass with such perfection has become vital to an increasing number of industries, most notably semicon, PV and green mobility. For example, the use of glass substrates for more complex AI chips will make this industrial know-how essential.
With this move, 4JET also adds a whole new roster of defensible IP rights to its already impressive patent portfolio.
